    Looking for some info!

    Hey guys,

Just wanted to talk about a few things and ask a few questions. To begin with, I've read all of the information in the above threads - some at least twice or three times - and I would appreciate some clarification if that would be okay.

I'm 5'10 and weigh around 140 pounds. I power lifted fairly heavily in high school (8 years ago) and peaked out at around 135 pounds with a 200 BP. I was top in my bracket - but after high school ended up falling out of working out (was doing hard weights twice per day every two days). I was never coached or talked to about maintaining a diet or what to eat. When I graduated college, I decided that I'd again have the time to invest in working out. Now, from a beginner's perspective - my immediate idea was to do a cycle of test e (have had friends that have been on juice for some time now) - and both them and this site suggested it.

However, after reading through some responses to my welcome message and doing some additional research - I've come to realize that I'm very, very, far away from having the base and the diet to do a cycle. If I were going to - I would want to gain maximum amount of size and mass for what I was stacking. At my current body weight and diet I'm unable too.

Now, to begin with about my diet - I have a friend who bodybuilds and he suggested the usual for maximizing protein and calorie intake. Basically, lots of tuna, nuts, peanut butter, chicken. I've read in several places that someone with my body type and metabolism should be on the "see-food" diet. (I see food, I eat it!). Does this work or should I be very cautious about what I eat?

My ideal goal is to gain about 30-40 pounds before going on my first cycle. I love to workout and would do it everyday if I could - but I recognize that muscles build when they rest, and less is most certainly more - so I typically work out about 3 times a week (arms/chest - legs/back - cardio). Are there any specifics of the general workout regime I just gave that I should change? I've been told that bulking up means I shouldn't be doing cardio but once every few weeks. If that's the case - I'd like to spend the rest of that time working out my upper and lower back and just spending one full day on my legs.

Mostly - I was pleasantly surprised that the veteran members here seem very wary to give people the go ahead on using AS unless their bodies are prepared. If I'm going to do this, it's my body, and I want it to be done 100% correct. Any feedback and answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

well thank you for your mature and refreshing approach to this

I must say we don't get too many here that actually care enough to do this correctly

at 5'10 and ONLY 140, YES I would say if you see food, EAT IT , EAT IT ALL

but you want to go about that smart as well so you don't just pack on FAT

So have you checked out the diet section yet??

I would suggest starting at eating meals every TWO HOURS....not gonna be easy but it will help you pack on GOOD weight

You asked a lot of questions there, maybe you can narrow it down and ask a couple specific workout questions in that forum and do the same in the diet forum.

i doubt anyone credible here suggested you jump on a cycle at that weight and height, much less after such a long layover

you will put on size with that diet, but without structure it will be mostly fat

you can change to a 5 day split, much more effective IMO, i'll explain if needed

good attitude, we are weary to tell people to cycle that aren't ready for a plethora of reasons, but most of all for the safety of the person, these are very potent chemicals and not to be trifled with

You don't have to cut out all cardio. It has to be low intensity.

Just to clarify on a few things you hit on in your response Phate - I was saying that test e seems to be the ideal for people going on their first cycle. I wasn't trying to imply that I had gotten from this site and from people I know that doing it at my body weight and diet was acceptable. I know that I should wait!

Could you explain to me the 5 day split? I certainly don't want to over work my muscles but definitely want to get as much as I can out of my body. Thanks!

that's my bad then, sorry bout that

a five day split is basically a training regimen that isolates the primary and secondary muscles for example

    chest/tri
    back/bi
    rest
    legs
    shoulders/traps
    auxillaries(forearms/calves/abs)
    rest

this type of training is good because of it's ability to change to reflect changes in body composition, for example, my triceps, calves, and posterior delt are lacking right now so i changed my split to

    chest/tri
    back/bi/post delt
    rest
    legs/calves
    shoulders/tri/trap
    forearms/abs/calves
    rest

    Hey T,

I have definitely checked out the diet section, several times in fact. I'm most interested in putting on the weight to bulk up and get bigger. I've got a long way to go but I'm most certainly committed to my goal!

Seems to me that the diet section primarily says, "Use these suggestions as a baseline - but trial and error will tell you what's best for you" - did I read that write or completely misinterpret the message?

we'll help you tune your diet to your stats and goals, but everyone is different so in the end it will be trial and error, but we can get you close to start with so you don't have as much error

well everyone's body is different and requires different Macros to obtain certain goals.

There is a thread in the diet section by Nark giving FREE diet advice where you can get More detailed information on specific diet plan for you

PHATE is also one that is great with detailing a diet plan to help you
