we need macros for each meal, as well as the totals for the day and your BMR for a proper diet critique

can u be more in detail phate? I need to get a definate split before i go any further ya know?

  11. #11
workout split could use some work. why would you attack both sides of your body like that? always give a day between a back workout and a chest workout if possible.

go for the blood n guts split

    chest, biceps
    legs
    off
    back, rear delts
    anterior/lateral delts, triceps
    off
    repeat

ive been in a lot of gyms for a long time, known a lot of big guys, and i have never seen big yoked dudes not doing heavy shoulder pressing, or ever doing forearm curls. or doing the amount of bicep tricep isolations most people post on these forums. the only guys i ever see doing forearm curls are skinny. but that is just my experience.

    I agree split needs work.
I'm fond of hitting legs on day on and working largest to smallest muscle groups. Again agree with the idea of too much isolation, its not really necesary to target bis religiously if your goal is size. I like to target forearms on my misc day but my goal is working strength not size, it helps with grip.
    Good luck

I'm not a vet, but I do play one on TV.....lolol

everything looks good except for the split..as stated, no need to beat a dead horse.

    I like

    Mon
    Tues
    Wed- REST
    Thurs
    Fri-
    Sat- REST
    Sun- Rest or Arms......

yea i could have worded that better lol. but seriously, i never do 'arm' days, and i have 19" arms at the moment and have had 20's in the past. compound movements with intensity will get you there, with a few isolations at the end to really kill them. i know there are plenty of well developed dudes who do an arm day, but for the most part i think most beginning/intermediate lifters do too many arm isolations and not enough squats and power movements.

I hate having set days for each bodypart! If something happens to come up then what? you scrap that bodypart until next week? I just use the simple 3 days on 1 day off and maybe once and a while 2on 1 off! this way no matter what happpens I am always switching up! Doing chest specifically on Monday sucks because if I get tied up lat and cant make it, I have to reconfigure everything! with my setup everything just gets pushed one day and there is nothing else to worry about

it depends on the person, the split i outlined for you is one of two that you'd have to rotate as if you run that week to week you won't have proper rest time, but like it said, it's unconventional and semi-complicated if you don't understand the point behind it

as far as an arms day, i like to have one(well a bi/tri day) if i feel my arms are lacking, that way i can focus on them instead of putting them on a backburner secondary to the primary
