    Complex Carb PWO on "cut"

I notice some people advise "no carbs" for PWO regimine. I believe in low gi on both bulk and cut. I just wanted to know some peoples input on complex carbs PWO (cut and bulk) rather then simple sugars and spiking insulin heavily, or no carbs at all.

    Thoughts?

if I had a dollar everytime I though about this Id be rich!

I tried both on a cut and for me personally I go no carbs just whey/fish oil/vitamin c and I have carbs in my ppwo meal. I have been doing this for a few months and its going well....

Everyone's results differ. You will just have to try doing both and see what works for you.

Listen to your body dude nothing is carved in stone....

This is a study dedicated to glycogen replenishment due to a protein and simple carb* meal post workout.

The carb mixture was maltodextrin and sucrose. While maltodextrins make up techincally makes it a complex carb, it is still a simple carb in the sense that it is immediately absorbed and it is a solid 100 on the GI scale.

This study is a prime example of why high GI carbs are beneficial to your regimen.

I agree nothing is carved in stone due to everyones genetic differences. But the bold is perfect input in what I'm looking for.

I have a set method in what I do currently and it's working great. Just thought I'd get some others results in the idea of high gi, low gi or no carbs.

When bulking I have simple carbs in my pw shake then complex carbs in the following meal. While cutting I still have simple carbs in pw shake then no carbs in the following meal. I find I recover better after having that insulin spike. That is what works for me.

ppwo is essentially dinner. PWO is post workout, PPWO is dinner, like an hour or 45 minutes since your workout ended.

Why do you have your meals so close to eachother?

I was never a fan of NO carbs. Your body needs some for energy. Unless you're having a larger intake of fat your body is gonna start burning your muscle and protein for fuel. So if you're cutting I'd still have some intake of complex carbs, particularly earlier on in the day.

assuming the PWO meal is something like whey and dextrose that metabolizes very very quickly, you should eat your PPWO meal about 1-1.5 hours after
