    creatine and water retention

    I have taen creatine many times in the past and have always gained great strength off of it. The reason I bring this up is because I am currently on a low car diet where i cycle carbs 3 very low days followed by 1 high day.

    I have noticed my strength has gone down a bit and wanted to get back on 100% creatine monohydrate, but hate the water retention...

    Is there antyhing I can take to keep the water retention away while on creatine?

    Keep sodium levels low and take in 1.5 to 2.0 gals of water a day.

    Yep. It can be tough for some to get up to 2 gallons of water a day. That's a lot of water!

    I usually keep up with how much water I have had ounce by ounce, because if I don't I will THINK I have had like 1.5 gallons when in reality it was only 1 gallon. Good luck.

    You can keep bloat down but when taking creatine, it is inevitable that yuo will have added bloat weight on the body. But keeping carb and electrolytes intake low then it can be managed. Also try to drink distilled water.

    Ugh, I mean drink water that is distilled.... It will draw electrolytes out of the body that also contribute to water retention. In a way dehydrating your body.

    No i mean like.. where do i get distilled water? lol
    is poland springs(for example) distilled... or do I need to buy special water

    You buy it in a large jug, it will specifically say 'distilled' on it. no more than $.89-.99 per gallon jug.

    Distilled water helps keep water retention down? Wow, didn't know that.

    1st time I have heard this...interesting! Sounds like drinking distilled water before a beach vacation or photo shoot could be beneficial.

    What are your thoughts on adding fresh lemons to your water? I have heard it offers sort of a detoxic for the body and could also aid in fat loss.

    Besides adding flavor if you find waters taste to be unbearable (which is pathetic or your water supply is messed up), nothing magical about it.

    gotcha...yeah I like water without lemon as far as taste.
