another am cardio question......hopefully my last!

well its roughly 10 degrees here in the windy city in the morning so doing a jog outdoors is out of the question.

Besides running in place and doing jump rope ( without the rope that is ) what are some ideas that you have for me to get my am cardio in?

Btw, I live in a condo and I cannot run the stairs at 5am.....tried this, too much traffic and too much noise...

    Bump....

    Alright, lets try this again....

What if I were to set it up like this :

    1 min running in place

    1 min rest

    1 min jumping jacks

    1 min rest

    1 min jump rope

    1 min rest

and so on for 20 min or so. I know its like a weak HIIT but it has to be better than nothing.....atleast until the weather breaks...

Jumping rope. At Olympia Sports you can get a jump rope with weighted handles for less then $15.

This is not a bad idea. Like dec said add those squat thrust/burpess and step ups as well. It's better then nothing. Weighted shadow boxing is a murderer, make sure you have the blinds closed though

as far as traffic I meant that people work at all times of the days and my work hours are crazy. Besides the const.workers are all over the place. Most of all my stairs are metal and Ill wake up the entire side of the building.

    Thanks for the replys....

hmmmmm girly dvd's......not a bad idea, lol..

    yep....girly dvds
or put together a 30 minute fast music cd and dance around like a maniac...
do your own version of dance aerobics....lift legs with knees, lift legs straight out like the rockettes....create a routine with a lot of repeating motions.....keep your arms pumped up and down since the arms can make or break being cardio along with moving your feet constantly at the same time....enjoy and have fun while you keep your heart rate up
