There is no "average", everyone is different. Just bcuz a 20 yr old is lifting 250 lbs., doesn't mean ur gona b able to just cuz ur also 20. How much u can lift boils down to proper / effective technique, proper nutrition 4 growth, & consistency / dedication.

ahk, just because i have been training for about 8 months consistently. but while hitting the weights i often have people watching me, thinking they want to use the equipment, but when i am done they do not use it. it makes me unsure if they are rediculing me for the amount i am lifting or what.

Who cares, just brush em off, & know, 1 day, you'll b twice their size. BTW, I doubt they're "ridiculing" u, they probably just think ur too sexy 4 ur shirt..................

i agree irish, ive had a few guys watch me, then go for the same weight or heavier, and just either use horrible form or struggle for 2 reps.
making sure neither me nor my friends are ever " that guy" is very important to me haha

I've been full throttle since I was 18 when I enlisted & saw wut my body was capable of with just standard PT & sufficient nutrition. I'm 32 now, so that makes about 14 yrs.

The last couple of yrs, I've been exploring the body's need 4 a break, & most recently, I was having some trouble making new gains in my upper chest, so I took 2 wks off per Dec11's advice, but other than that, the only time I've took any time off was about 3 yrs ago when I caught "the crud". My current plan is 2 take 2 - 3 wks off every 4 - 6 months.

howcome you decided to get on the test?

  20. #20
Honestly, a friend came over 1 day with 5 vials of Test. E & a boat load of Nolva & rim. At that point, I had already been researching steroids for about 2 yrs, so I figured "y not" I had a good foundation, sufficient diet, a good knowledge base, & plenty of training experience. So we ordered som pins, & the rest is history. For me it was a "want" not a "need", looking bak, I wish I would've waited til I met my genetic potential / max.

what is your reason behind waiting till u reached your genetic potential. Just curious

  23. #23
You don't think you hit your genetic potential in 9 years of training?

I'm pretty satisfied with my build / look & the strength that comes with it, but I'm nowhere near done yet, my goal is 300 lbs. / 8% I play Baseball, just a local hardball league, but we tak it very seriously, we really get in2 it.

Bcuz, I'd know in my mind, I went as far as I possibly could natty b4 I juiced, instead of just jumpin on the gear cuz it was available.

No one in the gym w/any experience cares about what you're lifting. What matters is that you're in there working. Hell, there's always someone stronger than the next guy. Just make sure that you are living up to your expectations(within reach of course) and that's all that matters.

Yeah, you are right on that one. I realized that I was lazy with my training as far as eating right, getting enough rest at the right hours, and taking my vitamins. Once I fixed that, boom, I overcame my plateau. I'm still slowly improving but it's pretty hard to see results come so slow with so much dedication. Given, I feel good that I'm finally doing things the way that I should.

Bear, wow man you really want to be 300 lbs at that % body fat? DAAAAMN. Personally I wouldn't want to be over 240 at 6'2. To each their own as they say.

Agreed. 100%..... If ur diet & training regime is tuned in, Its not difficult 2 figure out if u hav reached ur max................r u still gaining or not.................its that simple.

Its just a "once in a lifetime" goal, I don't wanna stay there long, maybe 6 months to a yr. Just 2 get some pix & say "I did it".

There is somewhat of an average based on height/weight & age.

    Haha! Yeah don't get fired!
Just want to say im very happy with the amount of input from all members to a new posters questions, it's so good.

Another question for you all, how do you judge how much energy you use in your job? Such as someone in a office job wouldn't use same amount as someone walking and light lifting all day?
