    Abs and Calf workout Questions

Quick question guys.... Can you train abs and calves everyday? Is it like every other muscle part which needs 72 hours recovery time? Reason I ask is abs and calves and used in everyday duties, so I was told its ok to train them everyday.

Also, with ab workouts, would you go heavy resistance with normal 6-12 reps per set or would you go with low resistance and and do high reps?

    Thanks guys!

You can train them everyday if you won't but they won't grow! Your legs are used in everyday duties but you wouldn't train legs everyday!
Abs and calves are like every other muscle!

    Go higher reps with calves
But keep abs in the rep range you said, change it up though and burn me out!
Twice a week is more than enough if your smashing them!

Abs 3x4 a week and calves 2x a week should be sufficient. I go w/high reps mostly w/abs. On calves i go high reps on leg day and heavy a few days later when doing arms. But they are a muscle too and need to rest as well.

Yeah I agree. I usually do abs 3x a week and calves 2x a week. On a legs day, I give my calves a caining on heavy weights, low reps and then on a saturday I lower the weight and do high reps. By the end of the week I can barely walk. lol
As for abs, I alternate my training. 1 session I'll focus of upper, and next session I focus on lower. All ab sessons are usually high reps.

^^^Sounds like a good plan BP! One thing I would suggest is to train calves first on leg day. Most people tend to do them at the end of their leg workouts and the effort is not the same. They will warm you up for heavy leg work and it's a really nice feeling when your done legs to "not" have to then train calves. IMO.
