Best incline decline bench with leg attachment to buy. Mine is falling apart

I know it may not be ideal but I have a garage gym with treadmill...smith machine....hack squat (northern lights).

It has to slide into the smithee.

Thee are so many and a lot of them look cheap online

yes I have.....Not sure what brands are better built than others.

I cant fit a full leg ext machine in a 12x14 space....hence the attachment nonsense.

It is a swap I have to make as I love walking 20 feet to my gym with stereo and my music etc etc

Understood, I work out in my basement as well. The commute kills me.

Personally I don't think any plate loaded, off the end of a bench extension device is worth considering. I went years without an extension / curl machine and survived on lunges and stiff leg deads. You can get by. A few years back I picked up a used ext/curl cam operated machine, Hoist Brand. Much better than I thought.

When it comes to benches, my Body Solid one is very adjustable and nice. Both incline and decline. You can see it in this pic.

I found that if it is right there....I am more engaged....I just don't have the time for the to and fro transit time
also....I don't look like j230027 or kelkel at 48 so I am less drawn to a crowd

Music is also a big part of my energy level. I have a kickin system with subW in my 3rd car garage.
It sounds way better than earphones when the floor shakes a little. Just me.

Of course EVERYTHING revolves around a smith machine as I am alone.
I can think more too being alone. I am probably odd in that regard

    THank you KELKEL
Maybe I just can the hack /leg press machine....and go with some type of "real" leg ext/curl machine.
I detest hack squats and only use the press.

also lunges and dead lifts can be done with what I have as well.....

    THANKS!

It sure is nice to strap on the ipod and crank it up at the gym! I zone everything out and just go for it!

Jim it's been 10 years since I set foot in a commercial gym. And there's one literally a mile or so from my house. It's tough to branch out once you get used to training at home, although I do miss the variety and other people banging weights around. Main advantage is I also work from home so it's all done while working on "their" time.

There's a great hard core gym owned by a friend of mine about 20 miles away but I just can't do that drive. I have considered the local one lately, just to try it out. My main focus now is finding a pair of 130lb Powerblocks. They'll give me a lot more variety when I get them.

Love my smith machine. Very versatile if you put some thought into it.

I much prefer at home and I find it easier to stay focused. No smith, just a full cage. I feel totally comfortable in it, even failing doesn't scare me in it. The first thing I did when i bought it was make myself fail on every lift and try and get comfortable with letting the cage be my safety. I always felt awkward in a smith doing lifts.

I have also been kinda looking for some leg equipment to supplement for squats and deadlifts. Thought a leg lift/curl was the way to go but now I am second guessing it??

Brett I picked this up years ago. Yukon brand. It's a great machine and does not require the same weight a 45 sled would, nor does it take up much space at all. Be sure you find a side loading one. Never top loading as you'll hate it.

My smith is a Body Solid brand and has "teeth" along the entire front so you can squat free as well. It also has safety catches for the smith machine and safety bars for free squats. Love it. High and low pulley with a nice weight stack and bars to hang extra weight on.

Thank you! was gonna ask what it was cause I need one with an adjustable seat. Sliding off the end of mine when doing heavy inclines has worn on my last nerve.

It's a solid bench and I'd recommend it. The back inclines and declines and is padded well. The seat adjusts up as high as you'll need.
