    70 % isopropyl alcohol is preferred over the higer concentrations.

    Im just doin what the label says.

    just messin njord.. kare to explain?? just dont see the logic.. Higher concentration = more germies dead. More germies dead = More sanitary = Happier gear head!

    ummm prefered by hospitals. got my alcohol wipes right here. and it reads "Alcohol prep.
    Isopropyl Alcohol, 70% v/v sterile. 2 ply medium 1 prep pad."

    70% ethanol actually sterilizes by precipitating the intracellular bacterial proteins, wich kills them. 100% ethanol is too strong and doesn't "have the time to enter" into the bacteria, so it only precipitate extracellular protein, and it doesn't kill it.
