Again, you seem to believe in the boards, which is fine and I respect that (again I'm enjoying a good civilized debate), but have you personally ever had a strange occurence with a ouija board, or has it all been people you know that have?

Edit: Great. Now I have a few more hours at home due to the earthquakes in Illinois knocking out power at work.

I will admit, that a priest I knew has had experiences that he is not permitted to talk about. And besides that, I only knew one woman who uses the board. All I can really say, is that I believe, that she believes, the thing is the real deal...

So to clarify, that makes only 2 people I know who have experience with boards. And the priest, is an extremely down to earth guy. YOu could probably talk to him in a bar and never know he was a priest. I personally consider him to be credible. So, I think you have every right to be skeptical, all I am saying is that I consider to know directly of at least one source, the priest, who has first hand experience, and is a credible witness. So thats all I really have. And admittingly, that is pretty thin.

Sorry if I come off arguing just to argue, But I am a biological sciences major, and picking apart experiments is something you kind of learn with all that.

Now, my mom, only once in her life, I believe to have had first hand experience with a ghost. Besides that, I have first hand experience, with something I cannot explain. A voice out of thin air in my grandparents condo. in odd hours of the night, you can hear a woman speaking out of thin air. I am not making any claims as to why this is occuring, I am not calling it a ghost, but nevertheless, it is something that is unexplainable. Especcially when all electric appliances in the room are unplugged.

So that is not really relevent to the ouji bord, but I think does have relevance to paranormal, strengthening the possability.

ps- I was to young to experienec zubas, but their fricken sweet

Dude there's no need to apologize Like I said, I was just debating because I love the topic. It's something I've spent a good part of my life reading about and trying to comprehend as much as possible.

That's cool about your priest friend. I knew one long ago that sounds just like him. Really nice guy and I didn't even know he was a priest the first time I met him. I've since lost touch with him, which is a shame.

As far as your experiences, related to the ouija board or not, I still love to read about things like that and try to figure out possible scenarios that could have caused it vs. if it were the real thing. There's just something about the paranormal that is entertaining to me

you know, thats really awesome.....I am absolutely fascinated just like you about the paranormal. and I love talking about it as well.

seems like you are a little on the nonbelieving side....And I am kind of on the believing side, even though I have really been on the fense for a while

Yeah, the big marker for me that pushed me to more of the non-believing side was when I started learning sleight-of-hand and various forms of illusions.
I remember being younger and thinking that David Copperfield was incredible and just had to have mystical powers, but after learning and studying magic for so many years I've learned so much that it's hard to fool me.

I'm not bragging about not being fooled often either--some of the greatest moments of my life were being mystified by an illusion or by sleight-of-hand performed a foot from my face. I miss that feeling in all honestly. Most of the time now if I watch a performer, I try my best to not look for how the trick works, but the knowledge I've attained throughout the years won't let me be fooled.

It's kind of like how when you first started driving you had to completely concentrate on the road and what's going on around you. After years of driving, though, if you see a red light you no longer need to think about what's going on, heck you don't even need to be staring directly at the light and your body will naturally apply the breaks.

I guess the biggest irony in all of this is that when I was younger, I laughed at skeptics, but now I am one!
