it's an old medical trick for people that are really nervous about their first injection, when you get really nervous and start to panic your blood sugar levels can drop drastically causing you to faint (happened to me once, was going a cyanocobalamin injection and after taking the needle out i just passed out for an hour), by drinking fruit juice before shooting your blood sugar levels are raised and it helps to keep them from dropping too low thus keeping you conscious throughout the injection

Interesting thanks, cant say that I've ever passed out after injecting but have certainly broken into a sweat and felt nauseous while injecting. Lucky you got the pin out before you fainted.

well it wasn't as sudden as it seemed, i felt lightheaded, then started getting black tunnel vision meaning i was going into oxygen deprivation from not breathing, then my muscles started to become weak, so i had a little time to assess the situation, but yeah, that wouldn't been bad had i landed on the needle
