Also, the other day I tried in my left glute. This is tough for me because I cant stretch around good to the left. When I got the needle in, I needed a break and let go and looked forward for a second. Then when I would try to reach back around to grab the needle to try to aspirate my glute would flex and the syringe would shoot off into another direction. It moved more than 45 degrees away from my hand making it almost impossible to grab the syringe. I had to reach behind my back with my right hand to pull the needle out. Bizarre.
Good luck and dont worry about it. You simply went through a vein and when you pulled out the needle it started to bleed.
