Dbol is known in the bodybuilding community to cause appetitei loss. Some believe it causes gastrointestinal discomfort, and some believe it is because your liver is rejecting it. This is the same problem that I have with Dbol. I gave up on orals a very long time ago. Try injectible Dbol...it will not cause the appetite loss, or the bloat for that matter. I swear by it!

Remember, if your appetite is gone, there is no point in taking the drug. About a week after you drop the Dbol tabs, you should be back to normal, and eating without a problem.
so who wasn't giving advice up to your standards? out of curiosity.....i honestly dont think there are any revelations in you advice. basically you tell him to stop the dbol and use injectible dbol in the future. i wouldnt consider that better advice than anyone elses. not trying to offend you either.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I should have said "it doesn't seem like many people have enough experiance with the issue to be posting advice"

People are saying have your blood sugar checked, but if he was able to eat before the Dbol, then why not now. I highly doubt Dbol made his blood sugar raise...do you? Also, it seems that more people are either saying that they love it or hate it, but not giving any true advice.

From my personal experiance, ifbb pro's advice that was given to me, and knowledge that I have learned throughout the years, it seems that this is a very common problem with Dbol. Especially with Pro's using higher doses.

Most either fix the problem by using injectible Dbol, or by using an antihistamine (forgot exact drug name). If they can deal with the sleepyness, eventually their appetites go back up. Even Dave Palumbo (not a great referance) has stated this is a common issue with Dbol many times over. He also suggests injectible.

I hope that helps a little more than my previous post.

see thats what i mean and thats is why i asked because you have absolutely no idea what the reason was for my suggesting getting blood sugar checked. number one it was related to the fact that he said he had excessive thirst, now i could really care less about his appetite you can live for weeks without food. i was concerned about his excessive thirst because of a possible fluid and electrolyte imbalance. which could be life threatening within days. becuase often times with polydipsia comes polyuria, which in turn can deplete you of potassium and sodium, which are essential for your body to maintain its homeostatic balance. but iam sure you knew all of this already. and with your question regarding do i think dbol raised his blood sugar. in short it is an absolute possibility:

While none of the studies on testosterone or anabolic steroids used for HIV have documented any significant health problems associated with their proper therapeutic use, Dr. Gabe Torres' data on his patients who experienced a reduction in symptoms of HIV-related lipodystrophy with showed that at the standard 5 and 6 mg doses, 80 percent of his HIV patients experienced significant side effects, including elevated glucose, elevated pancreatic enzymes, or carpal tunnel syndrome. (It should be noted though, that anabolic steroids and testosterone decrease the body's own production of testosterone while they are being used, which can temporarily result in atrophied testicles in HIV(-) subjects. No one knows if testicular atrophy can become permanent in HIV(+) subjects, though.)

Elevated blood glucose can lead to diabetes and the problems that can result, including cardiovascular problems, eye damage, and neuropathy; elevated pancreatic enzymes can lead to pancreatitis; and carpal tunnel syndrome may require surgery. So far, Serostim growth hormone does not appear to be significantly safer than testosterone or anabolic steroids used for HIV therapy.

which in turn is why i suggest getting blood sugar checked.

    When is it ordered?
Blood glucose testing can be used to screen healthy, asymptomatic individuals for diabetes and pre-diabetes because diabetes is a common disease that begins with few symptoms. Screening for glucose may occur during public health fairs or as part of workplace health programs. It may also be ordered when a patient has a routine physical exam. Screening is especially important for people at high risk of developing diabetes, such as those with a family history of diabetes, those who are overweight, and those who are more than 40 to 45 years old.
The glucose test may also be ordered to help diagnose diabetes when someone has symptoms of hyperglycemia, such as:

    Increased thirst
    Increased urination
    Fatigue
    Blurred vision
    Slow-healing infections

now i am not an ifbb pro, and maybe they do not know about ALL the effects of steroids on the body. i dont either. but i do know it is very possible for it to elevate blood sugar levels. i hate to have to go to these lengths but at times i feel it is neccesary. especially when you are so confident about what you think is right, but in reality you are not. i hope it is clear to you why i suggested the blood sugar test now. and also if you read the posters first statement he complains of increased thirst, fatigue, and not excessive urination but i am sure it is there. which are the top 3 syptoms of hyperglycemia. and your advice about giving a drying agent such as an antihistimine to someone who is possibly dehydrated or already suffers from excessive thirst, could really land them in the hospital.

I was not aware that AAS could cause glucose levels to run high enough to cause a problem. So, in that matter...I learned something new.

Now, I believe the post states that he lost his appetite after he started to take Dbol. It is possible (you explained) to have his symptoms due to glucose levels, and in that case it is a good idea to check them. But, I doubt that is what is causing his appetite suppression, which is what I was trying to address.

I never once told him that I advise him to take an antihistamine...I even stated that I did not know the name of the drug. I simply stated that some pro's use it to raise their appetites after losing it due to use of oral dbol. Personally, I think it is a horrible idea...it simply hides the problem, and does not fix it.

It is quite possible, that you explained, that some of his symptoms are from raised glucose. However, I don't think that is the problem with his appetite suppression. I have seen it too many times, as it is very common.

Forgot to mention...the symtoms like fatigue, blurred vision, slow healing are also sighns over overtraining. Not saying thats the problem, but it should also be looked at.

Thank you for the informative post. Learn something new everyday, and it is nice to have an intelligent conversation with another board member.

oh i misunderstood about the antihistimine comment. and you still misunderstand about the blood glucose this has nothing to do with his appetite, it has to do with the thirst problem. anyhow i am glad you understand where i am coming from. when i make suggestions sometimes they may not seem to be relavent on the surface. but i do make sense, sometimes at least, i just hate to have to go into great details. thats why i just kept it short in my initial post. but i try not to give bad or unneccesary advice. at least thats how i see it.
