    I dont really think rep range has much to do with how lean your muscle look. This is usually strictly a bodyfat issue. That said sticking with in the 8-15 rep range the majority of the time will work the white fibers best which are the most condusive to growth.

    Agreed, lean has more to do with body fat, and therefore diet. And i agree with the higher reps, although i would say around 10-12. Not too much more IMO.
