    And no....quads are usually money.
Its not everytime with quads. I have shot many times in the quads. My only problems have been in the quads.

The muscle or nerve twitched about a half a CC in.

Different spots on the same quad. The first time was lower outer, this one was higher up and a tad more inner.

Some guys say that is normal if you hit a nerve or vein........Yet in 12 hours after meds injection, redness and pain is GONE.

Yeah, Im done with quads for AWHILE, that sucks though. Less rotation.

Wow, I shoot exclusively into my quads & nowhere else. I've never had a problem and love the muscle for injections...I've had a few bleeders and spasms but kept going with no problems.

My best injection area is about 1-2 o'clock from the top just as it turns around to the side (if your sitting down looking at the top of your leg, being 12 o'clock), about a little more than 1/2 way up the leg...

Methinks I've been lucky all these years! But I hate ass shots, did it once & it worries me hitting a major nerve twisting around backwards to pin - yuk

No, if by teardrop you mean just above the kneecap. I hit the upper/middle outer, at about 45 degree angle. Trial & error, and lots of luck it seems, to find my golden spot.

Sorry I guess my explanation above in my 1st post was confusing!

Also - I don't go too far to the side. That's where I've had pain & bleeders. And I use a 1.5" needle, BUT I cut the cap back to a little over a inch & put it back on - to block the needle from passing 1"
