    id rather not hold on... but i monitor my HR periodically... sometimes i hold on... oh well

    whats up eat! I agree w/you 100%. Its like benching with the smith, lol. I wear a hr monitor cause I do not trust the grips on the tm. For me, because Im on my feet all day at work, I like the lower incline/speed because even after 12 hrs of work, I can still do my cardio. But whats more beneficial? I know it all boils down to hr but theres a significant difference of calories burned..

    im good hope all is well too...i dont think it should make a huge difference unless you are holding on for your life... my opinion would be to not hold on and only the HR sensors to monitor your HR. other than that i wouldnt recommend it.

    awesome! next week or the following week Ill be kicking up my cardio from 45 min to 60. So Id probably be better off doing it at the lower incline. Bottom line, as long as my hr is where it has to be, rock on!
