How long would it take for a barn swallow to fly from Puyallup Washington to Paris France if it was flying at 1/8 of it's top speed for the first 1/3rd of it's journey and 2/5ths of it's top speed the rest of the way? In Nanoseconds!

It's a trick question. There are no barn swallows in Puyallup, those are Pigeons.

Top speed is roughly equal to 24.6 MPH.

Distance to France is approx. 5021 miles.

    1/8th top speed = 3.07 MPH.

    2/5th top speed = 9.84 MPH

First distance traveled at 1/8th top speed takes roughly 539.71 HOURS.

Secondary distance traveled at 2/5th top speed takes roughly 341.8 HOURS.

Total time is approx. is 881.51 HOURS or 36.7 days, or 3.173436 × 10^15 nanoseconds.

WTF do they eat in the air?
