Interesting times we live in here. This is a perfect example of Progressive Liberal(i.e.-most Democrats) thinking that the government knows what is best for the individual, and that if the ends justify the means, then individual liberties are not as important as the "collective good." This is something we call collectivism, or more conventionally known as communism (from the word communal ism).
Wow! You certainly have a flair for the dramatic. You must watch a lot of Fox news.

FYI - there is a big difference between proposed and passed. If you have ever been to massachussetts, you would know that a bill like that hasn't got a hope in hell of passing.

Seniority is power in the senate. Ted had more of it than anyone. We would have been fools not to re-elect him. He did a lot of good things for this state, regaurdless of what you think of him personally.

Your civil rights are more strongly protected in massachussetts than any other state. If you wouldn't put it past mass, than you don't know anything about massachussetts politics.

Lol that wasn't serious was it?

Right-To-Carry Law Type: Restrictive May Issue. Private subjects (state residents) may only sell 4 handguns per year and the new guns purchased from dealers may only be on the list approved by the State. The licenses to carry firearms are broken up into Class A and Class B. Class A is large capacity and Class B is non-large capacity.

Some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, and the last time I checked the 2nd amendment IS a civil right.

Now that we've established that Mass sucks regarding civil rights, don't get me started on their health care system and high taxation. The only thing left for this bill to become reality is for your governor to sign this piece of trash legislation. If this had just been some state legislatures wet dream that wasn't even on the calendar to be voted on, I probably wouldn't have wasted my time posting it. However, seeing as how your state senate has already passed the thing, it's pretty relevant info and it looks like it has a good chance of being signed into law.
