You wont get a criminal record unless they want to prosecute, which I seriously doubt they will. But I will not be able to apply to DHS for a job in future but you might be able to with other agency since they dont really talk to each other.

I don't want to work at customs nor DHS.. most drugs I think should be personal choice on their own free time especially steroids!.. But really, since they let me go without anything they can't really come back on me could they?

Just remember there are other agenies with DHS, such as secret service, CBP, ICE, FEMA, ETC...

I don't feel they will come after you, that is personal use and it would go to the state unless they will try to find your source and try to threaten you with prosecution unless you give him/her up...

Your name is the the DHS system for this encounter so when you apply for a job with them (DHS) that is one of the basic searches in the DHS database. They will question you during your background interview.

No, the BP falls under CBP which is under DHS. Plus working for the Secret Service sucks, trust me most of those guys are trying to get out and transfer to an other agencies. Is your cousin and agent or uniformed division?

You might get a fine (maybe around $500.00) or nothing at all but just remember everytime you cross again you are in the gov't system.

I signed nothing at all.. they questioned me and then gave me back my lisence, passport, and let me go.
