    Training tips?

Been researching alot and been getting mixed reviews. When on steroid cycle is it best to do reps 8 or lower or 10 and no less? Might be a silly question but would like to know other peoples views?

I keep my reps 10-12. This is an effort to avoid injury. I also do not go to complete failure. When Ive ever tweaked a joint its been at or near failure with extreme weight. My goal is size/shape not power. Power does come with the training eventually though.

rep ranges detmine whether u gain, size, strength etc

if you goal is size then reps of 8-12 are usually best

if you look at how most pro bodybuilder train they tend to love 10-12 repo ranges since this is purely size training

some bodybarts do however repond to higher rep ranges like 12-15 reps, mainly hamstrings, calves and traps are these muscles just becuase of their genetic muscle fiber compostion

rep ranges below 6 are generally strength training

i personaly train around the 4-8 rep range for most muscles to get abit of both size and strength

its all relative to ur goals

ive always wanted to be both big and strong

plus ive always hated how people laugh at big bodybuilders in my gym who are very weak for their size

so ive never really wanted people laughing at me if i was big n weak lol

Thank you for all the replies, really want to gain size AND strenght will this work,
when I do my sets if I lift heavy and do 6 then lift lighter to make up a set of 12 all on the same set!

thats called a drop set, ur doing 12 reps total so ur aiming towards size even with the variation, many bodybuilders use that protocol to shock mucles

You will gain strength lifting in the 10-12 range. And you will add size. An occassional drop set, or set of 8 reps on compound movements is ok. But do not train this way every workout because it puts too much of a strain on your central nervous system making recovery harder.

Ive yet to see a big bodybuilder who is weak. Higher reps does not mean low weight. Its a "bit" lighter then someone doing 8 reps, but not all that much. Powerlifters are doing sets with 1-3 reps. They are in this for pure strength. Check out my video. People do stare at me when I lift, but they 're not laughing, they're in awe.

ive seen countless weak bodybuilders in my gym and local gyms

its even become a rumour in aot of australalian gyms that if your MASSIVE and weak then your on steroids becuase its that comman

which is pretty sad when you think about it coz being on steroids should make it the opposite

some of these guys are easy over 100kg with low bf% and can only bench 120-130kg

worst is they can barely squat 130kg aswell

    pretty horrible to see IMO

Then they're on synthol. Muscle and strength is synonymous to a degree. You can't build muscle without progressive resistance. I don't care how much gear you're doing, light weight isn't going to make massive muscle.
