YOU NEVER WIPE THE NEEDLE DOWN!

The needle is already sterile..... you can't make it "more sterile" by wiping it down with anything.....

you need to wipe the top of the vial and your injection site. You then stick a needle into the vial and draw out the desired ammount. you then cap the needle and switch to another needle. uncap the new needle and inject......

thats proper protocol.....
