Stored away from sunlight, in stable temps (no heat cycling), I would not object to taking gear 10 years old. If stored properly. Sealed bottles are important as well, as the preservative is volatile. Shelf life from manufacture is 2 years, not .5-1

On the other hand an ampoule stored at room temps would fair a lot better with a serum vial holding middle ground.

I also would wait for some experienced members to chime in but 2yrs is the exp date stamped on most meds in most countries. This is a matter of convenience since that gives adequate shelf life (marketing wise) and adequate protection (safety wise). It actually has nothing to do with the individual medicines shelf life and saves the drug companies from having to conduct long term experiments to set different standards for different drugs based on their actual shelf life. The drug companies are fine with this as it keeps their profits up (most consumers chuck old meds and buy new, where as manufacturers rarely if ever get caught with stock that has to be destroyed).

In the case of Test Prop the drug itself will not quickly oxidize like Test enan, so as long as the vegatable oil remains stable and the BA does not evaporate its probably OK. Of course this all depends on the exposure to air thats why an ampoule would be better than a membrane sealed vial. I would say if the stuff is still in solution, has not changed color, and of course does not have a smell ( squirt some on a piece of clean glass and smear it out, place a jar on top and let it sit and take a whiff. I know I will catch hell for saying this and while its certainly not a fool proof test, If you were planning to use it then its something I would do and if any sourness is detected then pitch it) If it passes all of these tests it may well be fine....or you may wind up with a virulent abscess, but I have read about people using ampoules that are years and years past exp date with no ill affects, but without access to a lab you really never can tell.
awesome post far from massive thanks!!! The stuff looks just like it use to and they are amps stored in a box at room temp their entire life.

Good to know and they are ampoules so it sounds like it is looking positive!!
