Questions to how I feel 13 years after taking Steroids at 17 years old......

Well, im 30 years old now. Took my first round of steroids at the age of 17, orals (anadrol and D-bol). Highly pressured to perform when it came to playing football, made it to a D1 school in the South East only to play a year before I blew out my shoulder and honestly did not have the drive to play. Roughly a year later I got on another cycle and got off. At the age of 21 I started suffering from extreme anxiety and extreme lethargy. I dealt with this for the next nearly 7 years of my life. I still deal with lethargy all the time, can not be normal? As for libido, thank god that never was lost! Man, I wish I knew then what I know now! How many times I heard people say that young...Now having spent the time to watch AAS use change interms of knowledge etc., I feel like im a pretty good point in my life where I would like to give it a shot. My diet can easily become a science and my work out routine is where it needs to be. Like my industry, the only true source is experience. Can you guys give me some of your experiences on having taking AAS as a LIFESTYLE, for that is what im interested in. I was thinking of taking Test Enanthate (Used it before with no problems), Tren because everyone raves about it and Anavar. Obviously PCT is covered, already have Nolvadex and Clomid. Also have some Armidex available if its needed. Just hoping this may help with my lethargy, make me feel alive again? My stats are as follows: 30 years young 6'3 198lbs. Working out for years off and on but, 3 years consistent to date.

My first and only cycle of test/ dbol brought me lethargy and bad anxiety that led to an episode of panic attacks for 6 months. If you already have anxiety, in my opinion, aas is likely to kick it up a notch. Lethargy is a side effect likely due to anxiety. As far as you trying to feel lively again, that is a hard question to answer. If you really wanna do another cycle, i'd say keep it short and simple with just test and run hcg throughout the cycle to decrease hormonal fluctuation when you come off.

    Yup dude...

I feel yah. I've been experiencing those same effects for the last few years of my life too. I'm 27 now, got started cycling at 20. Haven't been on any juice in about 3 years, and feel like total shit. Lethargy to say the least. No ambition/motivation/libido. I get confused more easily and my drive to do anything other than look forward to my next nap is gone. I've recently come to terms with the idea that I am showing all the signs of hypogonads and low test, especially for my age. I'm considering making AAS a Lifestyle thing now, and more or less getting on a TRT regiment. I can't do another 3 years like this... ain't happening.

From my experience: anxiety leads to heavy breathing=too much oxygen in system=improper balance of c02 and oxygen=fatigue, laziness, lack of motivation, feeling jittery.

Being nervous puts your system in a hasted state. you secrete a lot of cortisol and you burn your mass quicker. On the long term, you feel really tired no matter how much you sleep because this drain is exhausting.

If you've never suffered chronical anxiety, you wouldn't know.

    Interesting!
    Makes sense.
I also think one can be many things one are not aware of, ie in the subconscious. One of them being anxiety, depression etc. It manifests itself physically, and one don´t understand why. We carry a lot of crappy baggage in our subconscious. Many times these conditions surface into the conscious, as what u probably describes as chronic anxiety.

They´re all in the AR lounge...lol
I think there is a separate forum for TRT. Look at the main forum page.

Your side effects might not be caused only from juicing. I had anxiety and depression but didn't notice it until pct of my first cycle which kicked it up a notch that led me to believe it was all from aas. Sometimes is easy to pass up the root of the problem and rather blame it on a small issue. Btw I shared some side effects as you also: no ambition/motivation/libido.

Well, aside from symptoms of depression, there are physical effects too which I mentioned in another thread which can't be blamed on a psychological disposition. I think the psychological/physical functions are inter-related, and by fixing one we may fix the other.

    Labwork is your friend,
If you do indeed suffer from low testosterone from not implementing a proper PCT or some other reason either related or unrelated to past steroid usage then TRT will be your best friend. If on the other hand your problems have nothing to do with low testosterone then the usage of steroids as a "lifestyle" would probably be very unwise as there are a lot of changes in body chemistry that take place in a person with a healthy physiology that need to be closely monitored and addressed as needed. Combining the pre-existing problems to the hormonal changes that take place with aas usage could lead to a very difficult dual diagnosis situation.

By the way you mentioned using AAS as a lifestyle then mentioned PCT so I have to assume you plan to do cycles of AAS one after another with PCT between them? If so keep in mind that the periods of non-use between cycles are a time of strain for healthy individuals as the body recovers its own natural balance. For someone with pre-existing conditions this additional strain can be enough to cause major problems. If you do indeed have low testosterone then TRT or constant supplementaion for the rest of your life can be your best friend but since its a life long commitment it is not one to be taken lightly and lab-work should be taken and much consideration of its consequences of TRT should be considered prior to TRT.

Hey guys, thanks for everyones input. Can relate with the chronic anxiety, was the worse time of my life. Robbed me of my mid 20's and truly I thought I was losing my mind. I dug so deep into my brain, looking for a root cause to this problem. Lead to bouts of paranoia etc. It was literally like someone turned on a switch and from that point on I was a flake. Over the years ive learned to deal with it and put my life into a healthy balance and found something in work that makes me happy. I can say for the most part it is gone other than a bit of social anxiety that everyone deals with. My wife helped me out as well, now I have 14 children so that may have something to do with it....jk Anyhow, to FAR FROM MASSIVE and everyone who mentioned TRT, I meant more the steroid, body building aspect as a life style change. Although, I did get blood work done back in the day when I did my second cycle so I could get the gear legally from a Doctor and he was shocked at my low levels of Testosterone. I believe I was around 200 or something?? So getting blood work was on my agenda, also to see what I may be deficient in regards to minerals. As far as TRT and cycling, would that be along the same lines of what you guys call loading? After the cycle has been completed I would be on a cc or what have you weekly in between cycles? I do business with a guy in his late 40's that is on TRT but also cycles with HGH and Winstrol, for his age or any age of that matter he is in incredible shape. The change in a year has been insane and he claims he has never felt greater?

I'm still learning about it myself... my understanding thus far is that yes, it's continual test shots. I've heard people using HCG + Test Cream as their TRT regiment, I've read about 200-300mg of test enath being shot bi-weekly as a TRT regiment, also pellets, patches and other delivery systems. It sounds like if your on TRT from a doctor, the typical thing to do is prescribe test to you on the low to low-mid range for your age. A handful of studies I've read also suggest TRT has had positive effects on HDL and LDL levels, lowers risk of heart disease, as well as lowers the risk for joint related injuries and a host of other benefits. It obviously tweaks the horomone balance of your body, but that's the point. To take control of the hormones, but it sounds like you've got to be willing to commit, totally, to it.
