    Length of workout ?

Lets say you are on a cycle , goal is to build muscle tissue - mass:
Is it a good idea to workout 3 hours each workout - first hour work till failure (intensity) and than just fatigue the muscle with blood volume work. Does that make sense for those real-hard core 8 weeks or so ?

than maybe back down to 1.5 hours per workout.

No that's a terrible idea. I spend 45 mins tops lifting. I hit one muscle group at a time as hard as I can with 90 seconds in between sets. Spending 3 hours in the gym is counter productive to your goals. Just look at the guys in your gym that are there all the time no matter when you go they are there and look the same year in and year out. 0 progress due to over/wrong training.

Same with me. About 45 minutes. A lot of people don't realize that over training isn't a good thing. There's guys all over that overtrain way to much.

One hour max. The only time I am at the gym longer than that is when I am doing cardio as well, which is 45 - 60 minutes.

You should be in and out of the gym in 45 min to 1 hr MAX per training session. 3 hours and your going to overtrain quickly.

Lol I wish I was born with those arms, they would be 25 inches by now for sure. If you are referring to my bf, I competed in power lifting throughout hs and was pretty chubby. Now that I compete in bodybuilding I keep my diet very clean and never let myself get above 13-14%.

its not the length of time, its how you use it... yah right....

seriously, I keep reading tons of articles that say all you are really doing after 50-55 mins is overworking your muscles. I try to stick to 50 mins plus a bit of cardio

    Eat Clean and Train Dirty!

45mins-1hr tops is good for me...what i found that while on a cycle, my intensity is increased and recovery time between sets is decreased vs off cycle. You can get plenty of quality working sets as well as assistance work within an hour.

Pros may do it but they also have a much different body then the average person. They also eat about 3-4 times what we do also.

It's mostly due to what they run. When you are on a lot of gear, slin, gh, ig1, ect. your going to be able to train much longer. That added with the amount of food and rest they get.
