    skinless chicken and some garlic in a little olive oil....do it often. We need some olive oil in our diets. It is good for you. Especially if you eat super clean.

    I say absolutely. Breading...hmmm.....i say no way to that. but like i said above....use it to cheat.

    You dont need olive oil... it happens to be omega 6 heavy like most everything in this world... if remember correctly its something like 10-1... You really wanna stick to flax oil/macadamia nut oil and krill/fish oils... Not saying olive oil is bad for you but excesses will have an inflammatory effect just like any other fats...

    not to mention im pretty sure heating it to a temp to fry chicken kills all its goodness

    Yep. It oxidizes and degrades the healthy fats at those high temperatures

    we don't NEED olive oil correct, we don't NEED meat either as every vegan out there is trying to prove to us everyday.
    I am just saying olive oil is an excellent part of any daily diet. NOT EXCESS AMOUNTS EITHER. You can't deny the great
    properties of it thought like lowering your LDL and raising your HDL and also helps protect the arteries from plaque build up and
    therefore helps in preventing heart disease. Many studies and stats have been done on this and in the Mediterranean region the mortality rate
    due to heart disease is much lower than the the US and other countries because of their high mono-unsaturated intake.
    I usually grill or bake my chicken with no oil. I love to saute with a little olive oil and garlic with some of my sea food choices though.

    Im not sure why you are being so defensive over it. Most here have said olive oil is not a good choice when frying. Other than that i think it is great

    That is why I hate texting and typing....you usually can't read emotion very well over text...

    Sorry brother not being defensive at all. I was just further explaining some good properties of olive oil to the guy who originally posted this as he was asking about fried chicken. I figured he may be interested in a little more.
    We have def. beat up the olive oil topic tonight.
