like HK said, polygraphs are a joke. I have a close friend who's a cop and administers polygraphs to potential hires. Even he says they are unreliable n don't work for sh*t.. they just use it as an excuse to not hire if they need one or catch people dumb enough to admit to illegal activity.. the actual results don't prove anything

Even if you acted as nervous as a hooker in church when the guy giving you the test asks about your drug use, he still can't prove you did it. The test is just there so they can have their competition and when they get heat from the press can be like "well, we tried."

Just remember Jeffrey Dahmer passed a lie detector test.

I disagree with you on this one jasc. I have a lot of DOD friends and while a cop is no expert in polygraphs, the FBI and DOD and other well trained agencies have the best personnel and equipment available. We have to get clearance for certain things in my line of work and believe me the outcome of the polygraph in the right hands is unbelievably accurate.

As someone else stated you should tell the truth about being a stupid 18 year old kid and be honest that it was fake. Even if you are completely calm and try to lie it will come out suspicious and you will be caught lying or at least trying to deceive them. They will probably laugh at the truth and write it off as you being a dumb kid.
