a civ. , trained or not, could have ended it before it got out of hand just as easily as a cop...ask the parents of the murded if they'd like a chance to have it all over again with an armed civ..

Yeah, because the last thing a stampeding theatre full of panic stricken people needs, is someone playing cowboy and taking random pot-shots at some nut, invariably hitting civilians. And what happens, the nut then turns his fire on the attacker, more people get caught in the cross fire.

Become a cop or a soldier if you want to do that sort of thing I say.

I swear, some people watch a few Arnie films and think they can apply the stuff of movies to real life..
