By all means let your shoulder heal....DO NOT turn a minor tear into an injury that will hound you for the rest of your life. Beleive me 90% of the members on here who lift serious and are 30 or older will tell you they wish they had not skrwd up their shoulders doing stupid shit..paticularly trying to come back to quickly from a minor injury.

Also when you do return to the gym remember to do a ton of low wieght high rep movements to fully nourish the shoulders prior to work sets. The shoulders are very unique in the amount of benefit they will recieve from an extended warmup due to the fact that unlike knees, hips etc. they depend almost completely on soft fibrous tissue for support and load bearing capacity of the joint and bloodflow will increase the tear resistance of these tissues.
