In any walk of life, religion, colour, sexual preference there's people who go against the grain that's always going to happen.
Unfortunately the media has a hard on for the Muslim community right now because of goings on around the world.
But there's another thread going on right now in the lounge about two parents who decided god was better for their children than medicine was.
Its just Islam is the flavour of the day unfortunately and I think that's sad.
The flavor of the day? You say that like it's all a made up mess. Are there terrorist from all walks of life? Of course, but lets be honest, the vast majority of terrorist attacks today are muslim related. That's just common sense. As for the media, you're right, they do have a hard on for them. They do all they can to ignore the terrorist problem. After Boston most in the media were begging for the terrorist to be a white tea part extremist or something like that. They couldn't stand the idea of another muslim related attack. They would have rather it been a U.S. citizen, one of their own then an outsider. That's pathetic.

As for your comment on the two parents, are you talking about the parents in CA who took their baby from the hospital because they wanted to go to another hospital? If so, those parents were 100% in the right. California has lost its mind.

You say the majority of terrorist attacks are Muslim but they are the ones you know about.
Its all a media fuelled lie
You only know about what they want you to know about
Lets face it its not hard to turn a story around with a few choice words here or there and if anything Americas media next to our British media is as bad as a state controlled media

OK, I wasn't aware of that story. I thought you were referring to this one: http://www.lansingstatejournal.com/a...tor-s-opinion-

Back to the terrorist topic and what you said about the ones we know about, well it's not too hard to know about what's right in front of your face. You can't hide a terrorist act and it's not hard to know who did it when nine times out of ten those responsible come forward and say "yep, we did and here's why."

As for British media, I'm not going to pretend I know anything about that. I don't know how they handle themselves. I have an opinion but I don't keep up with them. In the U.S. overwhelmingly the media seems to give the current government a free pass on everything. How many times have we heard guys like Chris Mathews say things like "DHS said this" and tell us that's the truth because they say it? The media questions nothing anymore. Our own president refuses to acknowledge the war on terror even exist, he claims it's over and refuses to acknowledge the brothers from the Boston incident were muslim fanatics...and no one or rather hardly anyone in the media questions this...they just give his administration a free pass.

Oh, and you can bet every dime you've got that if there were a terrorist attack implemented by any right wing guy in the U.S. or even anything that could slightly be deemed terrorism, the U.S. media would blow that thing up all over the news and crucify him for months on end. They beg for it now. Before we knew who the attackers were in Boston many here in the media were strongly suggesting it was probably a tea part supporter. There was no evidence of this but they wanted it so bad they just said it over and over.

I don't think the U.S. can call itself a free country anymore. Freer than many others but nowhere even close to where it was. The saddest or most bothering part about it to me, those who are in their early to mid-20's and younger have no idea what once was...they haven't seen it.
