I've had great gains with a push pull legs split.... This way your fully recovered and are able to push your self way past failure.... Even when I'm on huge cycles 5 and 6 day splits cause me to not be able to push my workouts to absolute failure..... Sometimes ill rest two days and other times ill take off an entire week.... I would never hit the gym without being 100% in the area I'm training.....
