    I dont think you have to boil alcohol to evaporate it. kinda like none of the water that makes clouds ever reached boiling. I think if you just left it open then it would evaporate out and then refilter and put in vials.

    I don't know the answer to that, neither would I recommend leaving gear out exposed to the air. A more simple approach would be to add sterile oil guaranteeing that you reduce the concentration of BA in the total volume. Or as suggested above cut with B12.

    if you add oil you're lowering the mg of gear per mL. and considering 2%BA is okay and say 3% is noticably different as far as PIP then thats a lot of oil to lower the BA by 1%

    and as far as it being exposed to air thats why you would refilter it

    What about water in the air or other contaminants, Its really not a good idea and in my 12 years experience of home brewing I have never heard anything like it. Adding sterile oil is a lot safer and works 100%
