When I do calf exercises on the leg press I put my fingers on my calves feel for contraction and take it slow. If you go really fast you will notice very little contraction. Today I was doing seated calf raises with 2 plates and this "bro" came up to me and put 5 plates separated by 2.5's on the machine and would would use his entire body to assist with the exercise needless to say his calves looked like toothpicks.
Do you think you may be going to fast?
Yes I have long toe nails, I have an issue with feet where they gross me out so I cant mentally go though cutting my toe nails or wearing socks.
