I recently started eod training as Kel recommended to me awhile back..I feel much better not getting sick as often, connective tissues feel better and Iam actually starting to grow more..when I was 20 ed was fine..Iam 37 years old now it's time to re foucus my training on health and longevity..as far as cutting it's all in the diet bro..

Glad it's working out for you. Nice to be rested and ready for your workouts. I found I'm much more motivated on this type routine as well, and that can only lead to progress.

I have done 6 days for as long as I can remember, but I have started to develop all sorts of overuse injuries. It's also hard to maintain a consistent level of intensity. As much as I like being in the gym I think I'm probably better off cutting it down to 4 days a week.

Smart move for growth and recovery. Plus it's damn nice to have days "not" in the gym.

From my experience 7 days can produce results as well as 3 days, the difference is how much work is done. At 7 days per week, very little is done per workout though. I train to failure so it makes a huge difference if I do more exercises/sets. I have been logging my training for over a decade and with each log book (not that I keep them but I always evaluate the results and analyze the differing factors in training before I throw them away) and while I have done 4-5 days in the gym plus 4-5 martial arts sessions, that amount of work made me stagnate, no amount of calories would help.

I train EOD now because I feel better before heavy exercises like deadlifts or squats. When training too frequently I feel anxiety and unwillingness before the lifts... So despite pretty equal results I choose lower frequency

For me 5 is optimal. I can hit every muscle group once a week within 45 min to an hour. Arms get their own day on Friday and it's a great way to wrap up a 5 day week. I like Mon thru Friday so I get 2 days straight of recovery over the weekend
