It can bring out the goodness of some people, charity, helping the sick etc. But there is no place for it in todays world. Your morals should stem from being human and your upbringing. Not because you went to a building and told hell awaits those who follow.
Ouch...I respectively disagree wit you on this Zues. I believe it's the exact opposite.
We are IMO in the state we are in because we in the West have walked away from God and turned to our selfish desires to satisfy only our wants & desires. We are innately evil by nature and can only be reconciled by correction and discipline.
For example one of the major problem with today's generation is that they were raised by parents who wanted to be their "friend", wanted to just "let them be kids" and do whatever they want and tell them that they are "princess and princesses" and do whatever makes you happy and don't worry about what anyone else thinks.
That kind of narcissistic indoctrination has created a society of self centered-self serving individuals who cannot operate within a society because they are not part of a society other than the society of one!
Our nation was founded on Christian beliefs and even our constitution and our money states " IN GOD WE TRUST"
As we have fallen away from these belief's and instilled our own ideas and values such as there is no right or wrong or absolute truth only what you believe in?
No wonder we are in a chronic state of chaos and fighting. It's a country full of people who want their way without responsibility or consequence to their actions.
Nope...not for me. I believe in God and I believe there will be a judgment day in which we will all be held accountable for our actions.
