Decent diet. Carbs need to come down. Friggin chips!

    Question:
Training at 50 is not like 25, that I can assure you. But I’m doing all my body parts just once a week and I kill them when I do. I’m wondering if switching to twice a week might be more efficient...get most out of cycle? Is this stupid for a 50 year old even on cycle? Should I ease up a bit rather than kill at twice a week?
Same age basically, and only do each major bodypart once a week.Difference is,i do a split.
    Monday-chest triceps
    Wednesday-legs shoulders
    Friday-back biceps.
Four or five days was burning me out, plus i don't want to be in the gym most of the week,as i'd
end up pissed off,and probably give it up.I'm not a competing bodybuilder,so i don't need to
    make the same sacrifices.
In the greater scheme of things,i'm not going to be around for too much longer,so i can't spend
too much time on any one thing.
Compared to the majority of folk my age,i'm in pretty decent shape, and that's good enough.

Yeah I hear you. But I am trying to maximize my gains and wanting to see more results. I am seeing them, but just don’t know how far I can push my body without it breaking down. I have back and shoulder issues to work around. 3 level lumbar spinal fusion. Can’t do lat pulls. No crunches/abs and squats I have to be extremely careful light weights. I usually use machines or hack squat. Thanks for your feedback

Got those issues myself, plus i got more arthritis than the buy two get one free arthritis fuckin' mega store!
When your two days older than grass,it's easier and a lot quicker to explain what's not wrong with you, than
the other way round. You learn to improvise, and work around things.
Lighter weights? fine, just keep it strict and do more reps, you're gonna improve
End of the day,i just think it's more psychological than anything else.
Best of luck with your goals!

Yeah, psych. I’m the type to think more is better and that simply is not the case at 50. Smart is better. I too have several work arounds for my issues. Adapt and improvise. Never quit or give up. My goal of 10% body fat is a goal and I’m gonna push hard but it’s not gonna be easy. It is the holidays. Good luck to you too!

Chips, beer and college football time of year! My diet downfall. We are now mature and not old. Remember when we were 25 and the hot girls were going out with the 50-year-old men? Now that is you/us. Hit that 10% and find some younger chick. I am married but I have friends that tell me that these young girls do shit we only see in porn.

Keep posting. Train smart and keep the chips out of the house. That is the only way I can not eat them.

So the 10% like the girl in your profile photo. Oh how I dream...but I too am married. I had the nerve to ask for a threesome...it did not go well. Happy holidays.

Apologies if she’s you daughter or niece. Congrats if that’s the wife.
