I use to attend church and tithed 10% as I was taught. Then I grew up and realized the hypocrite around me and how much of the congregation shunned people who really needed help and only seemed to donate to those in their group that were in need.

I came to the decision that that 10% was much better suited being given directly to someone in need rather than split up to pay a preacher and support a congregation that are a bunch of lipservicing hypocrites.
