Yeah, the first time I saw that documentary "the man who's arms exploded" I think I was in 7th or 8th grade.
It really was fucked at the time.
It molded my perception of steroids for a long time
I love the way he was so cavalier and nonchalant about it.
"I was dropping fucking needles on the floor, I didn't give a fuck, I jamned it back in. 90 minutes of this before I decided to go to the hospital"
Reality of "steroids" for many people, painless 29g or even smaller needle for a few ccs a week.
Normal people perception, horse sized dart pulling cups of blood out of your oil ballon biceps everyday. That dude single handedly has contributed to making steroids a massive controversy.
Thats so accurate...
I love it when people bring up one of these .001%ers in any discussion about steroids.
“That’s gross, why wouldn’t you just do it naturally?”
Natural body building is like being Amish. Sure you can do it, but it’s stupid. If we were all going to live forever I guess I could fathom spending the time to do so, but we don’t, and I can’t. There’s no point in using a horse cart when you have a peterbilt at your disposal.
”...but I don’t want to get too big”
Don’t worry. You won’t.
(and by the time you do the body dysmorphia will be in full swing, and you wont think you’re big anyway)
”Steroids seem like cheating...”
Cheating at what? Life? Stop being a pussy, enter the unlimited ammunition code, and start being a universal soldier.
That's the thing. Even if you had forever to get jacked it wouldn't make a difference. I trained naturally for 17 years and only saw progress the first 5 years, if that. The rest was just delusions of trying to get big. I only fucked my joints and tendons up the other 12 years. Natty lifting is really pointless after a while. Even on gear I'm barely making progress.
