Oh, I got it. When I read it I was just thinking what an unusual life that individual has led.

There is a difference between a president spreading lies so that half of the population believes them (such as the election fraud lie that has been disproven in court, repeatedly), and a few people in the population (that is, regular people, not the president) rioting for real or perceived injustices. Almost all republicans believe his lies, but almost no democrats are rioting or protesting. If a black kid in Baltimore robs a store in a BLM shirt, this doesn't have any reflection on me as a democrat in my state. But if an entire subset of America falls for the constant distribution of lies from the head of the country, it's a little bit more serious, don't you think?

I have no idea why stocks hover at all time highs with this going on.
I do think this blows over after tonight so I wouldn't sell.

    That being said...
If the 1% chance that this turns into a movement happens then stocks will crater.
A civil war wouldn't be good for anybody.

I personally think that this is the end of Trump and his family's power.
He will continue having a cult following.

The true question... how big is the cult?

In regards to the rioting, looting, and crap, it's all the same mob mentally and I don't see it originating all from Trump. The poor behavior on the right....yes. The poor behavior from the left..no.

I think these are different issues altogether, although I do think the protests from groups like BLM are at least in part due to the failure of the Trump administration to provide an inclusive rhetoric, and the constant attacks from the president on the left/democrats/liberals/blm/etc. People on the right are emboldened by Trumps brash rhetoric and aggressive commentary. Trump has repeatedly made sly remarks that acknowledged, and at the very most ignored hate groups while simultaneously trash-talking primarily left-oriented groups. Remember the remark he made about both sides having good people (the protestors and the race/hate group?). Since his election to office, we have had more extremism on both sides, which leads me to believe it's probably due to his style of governing and divisive commentary.

Nobody is telling those on the left to protest, nobody is rallying and spreading misinformation. A man was killed by law enforcement, unlawfully, and people reacted.

Trump supporters are marching the streets and protesting for an entirely different reason; because their leader is telling them the election was stolen. This is just the tip of the iceberg of lies he has been spreading. His first lie started almost a decade ago with the birther movement claiming Obama was not born in the US and is a muslim. His lies have only accelerated, until finally, during a presidential election we have the sitting president refusing to step aside and let democracy run its course. He is not only refusing to abdicate office, he's convincing all of his supporters to believe the lie that the election was somehow stolen, without a shred of real certifiable evidence...

This is not simply a situation of both sides need to come together... the right needs to get it's head straight. There is no middle ground between a lie and a truth. We can agree or disagree on policies or governing style, but fact and fiction are distinct.
