Now Remington has officially been stripped of the contract for Big Army's precision sniper rifle and it was passed on to Barrett, to the tune of $50 million over a five year period.
Comes with everything needed to swap between 7.62 NATO, .300 Norma mag and .338 Norma mag (all from the same chassis). You're probably wondering why .338 Norma instead of .338 Lapua, since the Lapua is the darlin' of the long-range interdiction crowd. If I remember the story it's because Big Army also has a new machine gun in the pipe they intend to run the Norma round in. Although I don't especially see the relevance since it's highly unlikely you'd ever find snipers de-linking machine gun rounds to use in lieu of fussed-over handloads.
