Bastard. I'm under 2500.
I'm tired of eating lol
How's progress ?
Decent...can't get past 235 :-/. But I've been on nights and I'm all jacked up. I hadn't quite been on point in my diet. Been coming up short, and missed a few days training. But I'll b back at it this week. Gonna start dieting down soon. Gonna give Marcus prime/burst a go.Originally Posted by Capebuffalo

I hadn't update the guy in awhile. Took a short break from the forums. Didn't stop lifting tho. I did stop bulking and went to maintenance for awhile. And have been in a deficit for a couple weeks tho. Just started up in some test/tren. After dropping my test blast to trt levels I dropped from 236 to about 230. Got down to about 228 but I got on the scale this morning and the fvcker said 232...so confused...hoping it was the big meal I are this morning to get some energy for lifting today. Gonna switch my workout to weight training 2 days a week. Upper/lower and do 60min cardio 4 days a week. Try to get to 10% by July 18th. Should need to lose 6-8lbs of fat in 6 weeks.
July 18th your vacation?
Happy with your progress? Learning a few things about your body, no doubt?

Yeah, but that's not the only reason. I wanna b 10% before I start a serious contest prep.Originally Posted by Back In Black

As far as bulking, that's the easy part. I'm having a hard time switching gears from bulking to cutting.
Yeah, I read your comments about cardio. Jumping straight into 60 mins is a baptism of fire though. Having said that, I've been following Marcus' advice and not eating less but doing more cardio to create a fat burning effect (not a deficit because I'm bulking) and I have to say it works for me. 350 cals from cardio after every lifting session.
You'll work out what works best for you mate, you've come a long way in a short time. Show next year then? Or late this year?

Well I'm going to start with low intensity. Just walking at like 3mph for an hour. The gradually pick up the incline then speed. I've walked at 3mph on a 15degree incline for 45 minutes a d it wasn't that bad. So I'm pretty sure I can handle it. Only thing is I'll b in an extreme deficit and thinking if going back to ketosis. It worked pretty well at limiting bf accumulation while bulking. Been reading books on it, all the pathways and such. Plus talked to a couple contest prep ppl that swear by it.Originally Posted by Back In Black
I'm aiming for the last one here in Texas this year. Mid November. Been talking to a few contest prep coaches. I'm just a bit skeptical cause I got this trip to cancun sprung on me and my wife wants to take the kids to Disneyland at the beginning of August. So idk. Thinking of hiring a contest prep guy and just setting up a "mock" show to familiarize myself with the process and work out kinks. Then try and hit the season next year. Damn life gets in the way lol
I'm reading Lyle McDonald's book ketogenic diet or something like that right now. He does a good job of explaining the adaptations that place how snd why it occurs in easy to understand English lol he doesn't use too much technical jargon. And after every charger he sites the studies he got his info from which I like. They contain a lot of good info too. Other then that I've skimmed a few medical journals and articles. That weren't as good.

I'm with you on cardio brother. I despise it, but I have lowered my resting heart rate to 68 bpm. It used to be 92bpm with all this gear. I'll bet my HDL and LDL have improved markedly too.
I'd much rather lift more and do less cardio, but damn it, I WILL get this bf below 10%!!!!!!!!
Haha I feel yeah! My boss asked me to do this obstacle course with him. I told him man, I don't run. I pick things up and I put them down! LolOriginally Posted by MuscleInk
But I'm with ya. I gotta get used to it if I wanna compete.
As of today, I'm cutting down in my lifting and doing cardio/lifting eod.
On cardio days I'm only going to eat 1.5g/lbm of protein and some veggies with some efa's. which comes out to about 1250 cals (1750 deficit) + the 500-600 cals I burn doing cardio.
On training days I'm gonna stay in ketosis but increase fats to get to maintenance level cals. May eat about 50g carbs preworkout our intraworkout. But maybe not, because you lose the most nitrogen 3-6 weeks after starting ketosis. And the faster I can get into it the better. Although test/tren should help
As a former trainer of mine once said, "this is all show, no go", lolOriginally Posted by Tron3219

Damn skippy!Originally Posted by MuscleInk

This will be quite interesting to see how you place. Finish strong.
