Best time to run during a cutting workout...

Going into the military in Sept and need to practice running daily...I'm going to be following the cutting sticky in the diet forum for meals and lifting...Running is counter-productive for cutting because you go way catabolic, but I just HAVE to do it...

So the question is, when do I lift and run? I've been doing some searching on the board and saw that doing lifting first then cardio immediately after would be good...Do people agree with that? Would a split routine be better, run first thing in the morning, do weights in afternoon? Also when would I take the PWO if I do the weights first and running later?

i think its way better to do cardio after your workout or first thing in the morning before your first meal. you will burn alot more fat that way and quicker.the reason it is better after your workout is that your body is allready prepered to lose fat. you could do it in a split routine but you will have to do alot more cardio or running to get the same results from doing it right after your workout.
    thats just my 2cents

morning on an empty stomach. the theory is that you will reach glycloysis faster and then go into fat oxidation quicker, but I know from first hand experience that this isn't always the case, but the results are conclusive enough to rule out the idea either. but definetly better than pre or post workout.

Cool, thanks bros...I sweat like crazy when I run, not only does that add more laundry, I pretty much have to shower again before I go the the gym...For that reason, I think I'm going to start with the weights and then running...By doing that, do I still have a PWO dex/pro shake? If so do I have it after weights or after running? Also how long between weights and running? I could just run at the treadmills at the gym or I could wait 20mins and run around the neighborhood of my house...

after running because if you do it between your weights and running your body will use the simple sugars as energy to fuel your running rather then burning the fat which is what you want.

do it in the morning after eating some fat free cottage cheese which has good carbs and complete amino profile.
i would not RUN after lifting by anymeans.. your body is trying to recover why put added stress on it?
make sure u get proper nutrtion after running depending on intensity.
if its really harsh i would eat a banana and drink a small protein shake to prevent any type of catabolism.

i my self do functional str training, sprinting, jumproping on my off days and lift mwf and i have 0 catabolism kuz my diet is spot on

Update...I've been doing this on lifting days, first thing in the morning...Lift, run drink a PWO shake...Again, I get so sweaty when I run that it double the laundry and I have to take another shower...

I do weights 4 days a week and running 6 days a week...When I run on a treadmill I run for 14mins everyday...I maintain a steady speed, 5.9MPH right now, but I increase the MPH .1...Any more intense or longer I start to feel like I'm going to be sick...I am trying to stress out my body right now as I'm preparing myself for basic...
