    Manta ray!

For the record.. i just wanna say that the manta ray, that weird lookin blue thing that can snap onto a bar.. is the most amazing thing i've ever used in my life! i freakin love it when i squat.. just by snapping that little thing on the bar my squat goes up and i do more reps cause i'm more focused on the squat and not the discomfort of the bar.. greatest thing i ever knew.. anyone feel me on this?

no. the manta puts the weight more toward the front of your body and fcks up the leverage of the movement, it is an entirely different movement than a regular squat. if you learn to rest the bar, without the manta, right above your scapular ridge, about 3-4 inches lower than yor neck, you wont feel any pain at all. bar placement is everything,

yes it is, trust me it is like the difference btwn front squats and back squats, the focus is different, the higher bar placement takes away from your stabilization and forces you to arch fwd more than you should and also use more quads in the lift than glutes and hips. last routine i did, i strated with reg squats, my next lift was pause squats with the manta, if they were the same movment, i wouldnt do it,

I've used one before and didn't care for it. I made myself get used to using the bare bar and feel very comfortable doing it that way.
