Bloodwork back! New Family doc is the bomb!

Just got blood work read today by my new family doc that said he was willing to take over my TRT from my endo. Couldn't have went any smoother. He is around my age, in shape, and very knowledgeable about hormones, etc. He said he was considering doing arimidex alone as his test is good but estro a little high. No more specialists for me. I didn't even have to ask for a new RX. He was like starting to write one for the cyp and then he asks....how ya doin on arimidex. He wrote me RX's for both test and 'dex right then and there.

Well, here's my numbers:

Total Test: 555 (241-827)
Free Test: 24.5 (8.7-25.1)

Estradial: 41 (0-53) (This the doc said was ok, but i thought it should be a little lower)

LDL: 102
HDL: 62

PSA: 0.3

(TRT consisted of approximately 300mg EW and arimidex 1mg EOD and I did this bloodwork being 17 days out)


I told him I've never felt better and he was genuinely happy. Wish all docs were on board. He said TRT will become more accepted and mainstream like I always believed.

I agree with this you Test levels should be way higher than that on 300mg EW. I am on 80mg and I am at around 1000. Also the Adex will help your Estorgen heaps. Mine is 12 at 0.25mg EOD I just wish I had your PSA levels !!!

I was expecting higher....i guess the 17 days out (no inject, no 'dex for 17 days) b4 doing blood was the ticket.

I feel great and i'm sure my levels ARE MUCH higher than that now and prior to the 17 day lay off.

About the estro...yeh, i'm gonna take a little more often now cuz 41 i think is still a bit high?

To add....i did blood work a few months b4 on same dose (300mg) and got tested without a break and levels were 1315.

I think 150-200mg EW will be a good dose for me.

Why stop the a-dex? I would continue a-dex at one half the dose for
annother month. You don't want estro rebound. You free test is freakin
awsome.

Oh no, i'm ON brother.....i was only off for those 17 days...you mean during those 17 days, i should have went half dose? that's what i'm thinking would have been optimum since my estradial level was 41.
But no I'm on both again. I upped the calories the last couple weeks....still lost 1.5 last week and this week i upped them another couple hundred a day. I guess i got my metabolism back where i can burn over 3,000 again. Appetite seems to be increasing to

I know what you mean about the appetite. I just increased from 150 to 200ew after my latest labs. Last night in bed I felt like I had fasted all day. But I ate my normal calories during the day. Wonder what is gonna happen when it really kicks in, it has only been a week......

i haven't increased dose though...i haven't really ever settled on an exact dose yet.....i was even playin with 400mg for a couple weeks sometimes 200mg so i say an average of 300mg and since i finally was able to start losing fat, i have been trying to eat more (which isn't too hard) and still was losing weight and still getting stronger so now i'm up to around 3300 a day....last week was around 3100 and still lost 1.5 pounds and I'll weigh on Monday. I'm at 220 last Monday prolly around 15% BF...so I've got some more to go but I don't like the idea of being so light at 6-2 1/2....be lookin to skinny...LOL
I tried deca for 6 weeks at 150 mg EW with around 200-250 test but was only eating around 2700 cals...Maybe if i run some deca now while upping the cals and keeping as clean as possible I can gain some back without and still drop a few more BF%.
Even after 17 days off test, I still felt great with my total test at 555 since free test was still high.
I hope the increase does you good bro. I know you're pretty conservative with your doses and I admire your approach to your HRT. I stopped taking the DHEA. I didn't think it was doing me much good.

Yeah, I dropped the DHEA too. I am 6'2" also and right now I am right around 230. But the pants from suit I got married in 14 years ago when I weighed 205still fit around the waist. The jacket is not even close to fitting....way too small.

Hey jbkman....quick questions: Did you get your baseline readings stabilized at a certain level..such as 100mgs test per week w/.25mg arimidex brought you to too certain level..OR..are you still trying to figure out what dosage is best?

No...never been "stabilized". I've only been on injects for about 5 months and arimidex for 3 months and seems that since the arimidex is when i started melting the fat....averaging around 300mg EW of Test Cyp (200 some weeks...400 for a few but usually around 300) I never really stuck with one level...right now i'm trying around 250mg Test and arimidex 1mg 5XW since my estradial was a little high in my opinion at 41.
So yes I am still trying to figure out what's the best dosage for long term. Once again...never felt better, so I'm going to stick with what's working for now.

no probs...good game plan....keep asking about the estro test esp when you get on injects....i had to be persistent...it's no hair off their chest to add it to the script...i have even written it in myself

guess the 17 days off was my key and it worked out well as it kept the RX goin....i tested b4 on 300mg and my total test was 1315 and free test just said >54...i don't know if that means they just stop counting and put the > sign or what cuz the high normal cap is 24

mine too vermin as you can tell...lol...just found out i didn't even realize b4 that there are 5 refills on both the test and the 'dex
