    lifting then swimming

    what do you guys think of lifting first and then going and swimming afterwards? beneficial or no

    If you jump in icewater after it will speed up recovery. Swimming, my guess it would be just like doing cardio after working out which is good. So yeah, why not?

    Lots of benefits from adding swimming to your exercise regime. Water properties basically mean that the resistance is both isotonic and isometric this is supposedly highly beneficial for joints. Compression forces and as xnotoriousx says cold water both help reduce inflamation build up which some people advocate for post workout. However some evidence that inflamatory markers prostaglandins are important for muscular hypertrophy. So is it beneficial? I think so but I tend to be to pumped post workout to swim properly so I often do it seperately.
