    Can anyone help?

It's about time i learn how most of you guys train. My problem is the way i train.

Monday: Whole upper body from waist upwards i usually spend about 3 hours in the gym, doing everythign from a-z of my upperbody.

Tuesday: whole of wasit downwards all my elegs, i usually spend about a hour on my legs.

    Wensday: break

    Thursday: Repeat mondays work

    friday: repeat tuesdays work

Now more i read more i see you guys train certain parts everyday, how is this done? I see people say what you train each day but i don't know the name of muscle parts so i don't understand what people are talking about, does anyone know of any youtube vids teaching you or anything?

I don't know what you're suppose to train each day? Is the way i train wrong or will it still work just as well but just slower gains?

I think you're doing too much, and honestly unless you have ungodly amounts of stamina & energy you aren't lifting to your potential after 1 hr of working out. If I go at it hard I feel I don't have energy past 45-50mins. I can only offer how I go about things, which neither makes it right or wrong. Everyone will tell you it's all about what works for you.

I try to do 2 exercises per group, 3 sets of 8, as I'm just trying to get back into it now. I'll vary the weight & reps every month depending on my goals. I think narrowing it down for you - and hitting it harder might help. Don't get in a routine - change your reps & weight monthly to spruce it up.

    mon - shoulders, biceps, abs
tues - legs ( hams, calf, quad), abs
    wed - Off
    thurs - Triceps, chest
    fri - Back/lats , abs

I do 15-20 mins on a bike after every workout for my cardio, and then I may go in and ride a bike for an hour either saturday or sunday morning.

Feel free to critique my program too

Working out for 3 hours at a time is too much. Like mentioned above, after about an hour or so, you start going down hill...after 2 hours you aren't doing anything productive.
