Never heard it, but it'd be good to know.. Anyone?
I never heard of it before? Why is it supposed to be bad? I know they both boost NO levels, and that's why any NO supplement you buy will have both of them in there.
ok found it
avoid taking stimulants when your ingesting arginie. caffeine and arginine together raise cortisol levels , ultimatley resulting in an increase in muscle breakdown.
this came from pg 128 reps mag sring 2010
You can't really go by these fitness magazines. A few months from now they'll have another study proving the opposite. I'm guilty of reading them too from time to time when I'm in a situation where I'm waiting. But really they gotta come up with new sh*t every month to put out a magazine. It just banks off the fact that people are dumb and they stop short of their goals so every month someone will be on their NEW 12 week program to bigger arms. I'm sure ALL of the great bodybuilders past and present ingest arginine and caffeine daily and it has little to no ill effect, if anything I'm sure it's good for you. Every Fin NO supplement has them and you know no ones gonna give up their NO. Don't go by these magazines, most of the info is true, but they gotta put out a new one every month so they can get your money. And if they had to I'm sure they'd put in any old half-ass study they need to, to fill up those pages. I'm trying to avoid a rant here, but you get the picture![]()
nothing about a study, i also read where taking arginine and creatine together is no good because the argine pump gets cancelled out by the creatine.Originally Posted by Nooomoto;5125***
They are basing off the logic of they would negate each other, Arginine a precusor to nitric oxide which is a vasodilator being combined with caffeine which is a vasoconstrictor. Logically it makes sense, but does it play out that way in the real world? Don't know, experiment on yourself to find out.
The creatine arginine cancelling thing doesn't make any sense. Creatine is made up of 3 aminos, glycine, methionine and ARGININE!
