I have been following Marcus300's HIT Training for my weight sessions for over two years now with great results. The general format for any exercise for me is as follows:
- Warm-up/feeler 12-20 reps (rest 1 min)
- Feeler 8-12 reps
- Working set 4-6 reps to failure, drop or pause 10 sec, 1-2 reps, drop or pause 10 sec, 1-2 reps (beyond failure training)
- If not sufficiently nuked, repeat this working set once more
I break my week up into 5-6 workouts as follows:
- Shoulders
- Back
- Chest
- Legs
- Arms
- If time permits and body not overworked, weak-point day repeats weakest body-part with new exercises and no beyond failure training, just straight sets.
My legs day is generally done with 2 reps more in the working set ranges.
My cardio is typically composed of any of the following 3-5 days a week:
- Jogging (moderate) 20-30 minutes post workout or on an off day
- Mountain Biking (Intense) 45-75 minutes post workout or on an off day
- Incline walking or recumbent biking (easy) 10 before and 10-15 minutes after workouts
My current stats are as follows:
- 35 years old
- 6 foot
- 225 pounds
- 14-15% body-fat
- Chest 46", Shoulders 54", Arms 16.75", Quads 25", Calf 17", Neck 17", Waist 35.5"
- Bench 325, Squat 415, Deadlift 455
- Experience: 20 years training in the gym; 5 very serious years. I've done all styles of volume, classical, HIT, Supers, 2 a days, etc.
Goals: I appreciate and aim for the look of the old physique/aesthetics-focused bodybuilders, like Frank Zane and Arnold. I don't want to blimp out all over the place like today's bodybuilding champions.
AAS: Currently starting a 20 week EQ/NPP Cycle that can be viewed in this thread: http://forums.steroid.com/members-cy...t-c-cycle.html
Diet: At my maintenance of 3200 calories with a 40/40/20 split. I have a cheat meal once a week to keep the metabolism inefficient.
