NBA: Are the Utah Jazz for real?

They have a pretty good record. Some real good young players, and an old school coach. I just can't see the Utah Jazz winning it all. Especially in the west. I think they will collapse down the stretch. Do you guys see any suprise teams making a run at the finals?

as the Mavs showed last night, they are the team to beat but Utah is a good team, they need to play together a little longer and get a defensive center and they will be pretty tough to beat

Agree. Completely overrated. Come second half of season, they will play sub .500 ball and fall off the western conference map.

I like the spurs to win it all, but they are getting older fast. There only key player under 30 is parker. The one big benefit is that the nba playoffs take 2 months. These teams will all have 2 or 3 days off in between games.

I think Utah has the tools to challenge. I dont think they are on the level of the Mavs, Spurs or Suns quite yet but they are a good team. I think they will stay ahead of the Nuggs and win their division. My surprise team is the Rockets playing great ball without Yao and hanging around Dallas and SA in their division they are going to give one of the big boys some serious problems in the first round

Explain this to me real slow, Mavs beat Spurs last year in the playoffs and Mavs get better and the Spurs get worse, yet you still think the Spurs are the team to beat. How do you figure, I think the Spurs are good but they are getting old and do not have anything off the bench this year.

Yeah I think the Spurs are getting old and getting passed by other teams. The Mavs look like the class of the NBA and even the Suns look like a better team right now.

I am from uth and this is classic jazz right now. They do well at the begginning and then flush everything after mid season. EVERY YEAR! They are not even a top 5 team.

In my oppinion the jazz owner thinks people here wanna see white guys play, like stockton was a hero for so many years. Point is the jazz are no match for phoenix, dallas, san antonio or even LA. The Heat will probably take it again this year, all though I would like to see dallas or phoenix win it all.

With Boozer going down, Utah will quickly become a subpar team. Where is the Laker love? To maintain their record without Mihm, Brown, Odom for about 30+ games, and now Walton...Look for them to go deep into the playoffs

West is too tough for the Jazz to come out on top of the conference. Looked real good to start the season though...

Thanks God Stockton & Malone are retired. Stockton always killed the Rockets.

Everyone thinks the Jazz are going to fall of the map, they just keep winning. Then they lose Boozer and follow that by beating SA and PHX. I think the Jazz are a team to be reckoned with. They are not going the beat Dallas and Phoenix in the playoffs. But they will get better and maybe in a couple years they will be back to where they were with Stockton to Malone.

Stockton to Malone ruined the Jazz? They made the Jazz a great team that contended for a half decade.

In 2006 a fluke prophecy arose....the Heat will never win again....the West will get burnt out competing with each other...and the Pistons will win it all and rise again...lmao...well...maybe not...but thats my story and I'm stickin' to it...

As in all sports, the team with the healthiest roster and the most momentum going into the playoffs will take the title.

The Jazz are 42-19 they are playing well, they just cant catch SA, PHX and DAL because those guys are all on like 15 game winning streaks. Jazz are probably a couple years away but they are looking good. Boozer, Williams and Okur could have big futures.
