Hypoxic or altitude training
i have gotten allot of questions bout this, it is what many top athletes use for top proformance... many mma stars us it, lance armstrong has been a big advocate of it
Intermittent Hypoxic Training (IHT), using to IHT or Hypoxic Training gives your body the ability to utilize oxygen more efficiently; improving sporting performance and reducing the recovery time.
Ideal for sports where endurance is critical... i have used it with much success
NONE OF YOUR PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS ARE EXPECTED TO EXCEED LEGAL LIMITS THAT ARE SET BY SPORTS ANTI-DOPING AUTHORITIERS. this Hypocxic training helps to fine-tune your body – drug-free and naturally... note on ass you will see even more benefit... i have used it both ways and either way i have seen significant results
here is how it works: (some is a cut and paste)
"Normal air we breath in contains approximately 21% oxygen (by volume).
The air we exhale normally contains ¼ less oxygen compared to that inhaled, as well as moisture and carbon dioxide.
A Personal Hypoxicator uses your own natural breathing process to produce reduced oxygen (hypoxic) air. Breathing this low oxygen air through respiratory circuit, gradually decreases the oxygen content of the breathing air to replicate the conditions of high altitude and with it, the benefits of alpine-like air. The user can control the simulated altitude by achieving the desired oxygen level in the inspired air or an appropriate level of arterial blood oxygen saturation measured with a finger clip pulse oximeter.
The cartridges remove carbon dioxide from the rebreathed air provide for one full Intermittent Hypoxic Training (IHT) course. The unique design of the rebreather also traps moisture from the air you exhale to help ensure that the training is pleasant."
and the best part is all the "training" is done in front of the tv breathing in cycles on and off for specific times...
you still need to do cardio!!!
i used it for cycling, crits and time trials - i was ranked 12th in the nation in time trials at a semi pro level (with the help of anadrol and suts) and 18 hours of triaing in the bike, and another 7 - 14 hours breathing in to the hypoxic rebreather...
some people are very familiar with oxygen tents you sleep in or train in at a cost of up of 6000 to 12000 dollars - this thing cost me like 300 bucks but that was 4 years ago they are about 900 to 1000 dollars now...
so that is what i know any questions just ask....
this is the kit i bought and used
