Poor Raiders. Vick would not be the answer but at the same time a logical fit for the lowly Raiders. How bad can they be?

Im not a die hard raiders fan or anything but I still consider myself a fan of them. And I never thought about Vick on the raiders but if that was too happen I think the Raiders would do soooo much better

Really?

It's not like they have a running game to go with him or decent recievers for that matter. Murphy looked good at times but Bay is a bust

I'm suprised they didn't go after LT. I would even be shocked if they traded up for Tebow! Al Davis is a mess

I just think Vick would bring that spice to the franchise which is much needed in my opinion

LOL couple of haters on here that probably dont know the half of the game of football.
The raiders have an up and coming run game with McFadden and bush.....and a possibility or LT mayb....... and with one of the top tight ends as well as Murphy and Schilens on the up Vick would be a great option for the team. The raiders would not take T-bow they r gonna pick up a lineman and a reciever. The raiders went to the Bowl in superbowl 37 and yes since then they have been on the down. But after last season they are comin upp strong with a solid D and all the need is a good QB.
So to all the Raider haters......... lets hear who your team is......and have a nice day....LOL

If LT goes to the raiders hes career is over.
Niners here, and I have no problem admitting they still suck. We need a QB too. But the difference is I think if the niners had a good QB we'd be far better than the Raiders.
If raiders get a good QB I think they can maybe make 8/8 next season, still no playoffs

And we are the ones that don't understand football?

They raiders actually were pretty competetive this season after they benched Russell. They beat like 3 playoff teams if I'm not mistaken. But Dear old Al Davis still believes Russell can start...Go Figure... As long as Al Davis is running things and as long as you guys have like 60 million dollars tied up in 2 completely useless players like Russell and Bey you guys can go ahead and get a comfortable seat in the basement of the AFC west. Getting Vick Would make the raiders an interesting team but not necessarily good one

It's hard to be a Raiders fan with J. Russell at the helm..
But yeah, that would be a better option for them. I really hope Vick gets the chance to start somewhere. Or at least fight for the starting job.
Even if McNabb is traded, I see the Eagles going with K. Kolb either way..

i dont think Mcnabb wants to go to the Raiders. I mean they have been competitive, but they have alot of work to do to be a good team. I mean really i always thought of the raiders as the Retirement Home of the NFL, Once you go to Oakland with the exception of Randy Moss, you are never heard from again.
But seriously they need QB help and WR help. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/teams/stats?team=oak
I mean really their top QB threw 6 TD's and their leading WR a rookie had only 4 touchdowns.

My bold prediction:
If the Raiders sign McNabb they will make the playoffs next year. Yeah, I said it.

^ very bold statement

You need a QB who can get your recievers the ball. A good QB can make decent WR's look great. Take JaMarcus Russell and start him for the Colts and tell me how many games they win. They win 5 if they are lucky. That guy is totally clueless out there. The Raiders have a very good running game but when thats all you have, defenses will stack the box and take it away from you. You add a QB like McNabb who can stretch the defense and that opens up things ALOT. Plus the Raiders defense isnt that bad, they have just gotten overworked because of a very bad offense that couldnt stay on the field. Believe me, McNabb would make that team good very fast. Im not talking Superbowl, but definitely a playoff contender.

But with a pissy O-line McNabb would be just like Russell, I mean I don't think the Raiders have any all-pro's on their o-line. So if they do get Mcnabb, ol Al needs to swallow his damn pride and go O-line and get the best prosepect out there.
My guess would have to be Russell Okung- LT Oklahoma State. But since AL loves those Combine guy's who blow him away , don't be surprised to see Bruce Campbell- LT Maryland. This is assuming they go after and get McNabb. if not they need a QB say a Sam Bradford or Jimmy Clausen. The only problem i have with Campbell is he only has 19 starts sooo not a whole lot of experience there.

^^^ Nice! My 49ers are in the bottom 5. Hopefully that equates to a return to the playoffs for us next year. Personally, I think we should throw our hat into the McNabb sweepstakes. I would love to see him in a Niners uniform.

Not to shoot down your hopes, but with the 49ers CURRENT QBs can you have that much confidence?
-
04-01-2010, 05:14 PM #29
What, make the playoffs? I would give them maybe a 50/50 shot to make the playoffs next year with our current QB's. Alex Smith played well at times last year and showed signs that he is starting to understand the game better but he will NEVER get us to the promised land of the Superbowl. It pains me to look back at that draft and think that we could have had Aaron Rodgers. Hindsight is 20/20 though.
